Battle Creek Man Airlifted After Being Pinned Under Burning Tractor

A Battle Creek man was airlifted to the hospital last night after he was trapped under a burning tractor in Fredonia Township.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene on 15 ½ Mile Road at around 9:35.

Another man who was with the victim managed to pull him out of the fire but the victim still suffered burns and other injuries to his arm and back.

Investigators say the men were attempting to pull a truck out of some mud when the accident occurred.
