Battle Creek Man Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing His Son In The Stomach

A Battle Creek man is recovering in the hospital after his father allegedly stabbed him.

Battle Creek Police Officers were called to an apartment complex in the first block of Arthur St around 1:45am Friday, on a stabbing report. The 36-year-old victim was located in an upstairs apartment, suffering from a stab wound in his abdomen.

He was taken to Bronson Kalamazoo for treatment, and is listed in stable condition.

The 60-year-old male suspect was found outside, and was taken into custody on a felony assault charge. Investigators determined that the two men live together, and had been arguing throughout the night.
