Battle Creek police arrested three men following a traffic stop on Thursday. Battle Creek police were investigating a shooting at the Citgo gas station at 424 Capital Ave. North East at about 12:10 p.m. on Thursday. A car parked at the gas pumps was hit with rounds and two men inside the vehicle fled the scene, according to the Battle Creek Enquirer.

Police spotted the same vehicle on West Jackson Street shortly after 4:00 p.m. and conducted a traffic stop. The three occupants of the vehicle, two men aged 28 and one 32, were arrested on charges of being felons in possession of handguns and carrying concealed weapons.

The stop also led to the arrests of two women traveling with the men but in a separate vehicle. A 27-year-old woman was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to deliver cocaine and the other woman, 26, was arrested on a Friend of the Court warrant.
