Kingman Museum is partnering with Michigan State University and other organizations across the Mitten to celebrate Statewide Astronomy Night! The event is FREE and takes place on Friday April 12, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Unravel the mysteries of the universe with activities, hands-on Earth & Space demonstrations sponsored by NISE Network, and partake in appropriately themed refreshments. Enjoy a planetarium show and seasonal star talk while learning more about our place within the Milky Way. Participants are also encouraged to set up telescopes in neighboring Leila Arboretum.

Planetarium shows:
5:15 p.m. – April Night Sky
6:15 p.m. – Two Small Pieces of Glass: The Amazing Telescope
7:15 p.m. – Stars of the Pharaohs

This is an official event of the MSU Science Festival, a multi-day series of events that highlight science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Venues around the state of Michigan will open their doors to help people see and connect with the beauty and science that lies overhead.
