The Battle Creek Police Department conducted a prostitution sting of a different kind Tuesday night.

The Department worked together with various community organizations to give these women a second chance.  Officers went undercover, searching the streets and the internet for women soliciting prostitution.

When they were caught, they were given two choices; either be arrested and go to jail, or to take part in what authorities are calling a "diversion program".  The program lasts several months and includes a treatment plan based on preventing substance abuse, as well as education and job training.

Six women were caught in the sting Tuesday, but all of them opted to enter the program.
