The Battle Creek Police Department and other public safety agencies will hold the seventh annual Trunk-or-Treat event on Halloween – 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 31.

The event is free and open to the public. Join the fun in the parking lot across from Battle Creek Central High School, at West Van Buren Street and McCamly Street. Attendees also can park in this lot.

Attendance has exceeded expectations every year, so for this year’s event the BCPD is seeking donations to purchase candy.

Financial donations may be sent to the Battle Creek Police Department Law Enforcement Community Project Fund, a fund of the Battle Creek Community Foundation.

Please make checks payable to BCCF/PDLAW and mail to Battle Creek Community Foundation, 32 W. Michigan Ave., Suite 1, Battle Creek, MI 49017. Those interested also can donate on the Communication Foundation’s website, https://www.bccfoundation.org/fund/cpf.
Anyone interested also may donate unopened bags of candy at the BCPD station, 34 N. Division St., between the business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Thank you! We appreciate everyone who helps with this great family event!
As you plan for a fun evening, the BCPD also wants to remind area families of trick-or-treating safety tips for all the ghosts and goblins who will collect candy on Halloween. Please check out and share the attached graphic.
