Beavers Score a Pair of O/T Wins Monday Night

After having been cancelled twice in as many weeks due to the recent stretch of bad weather, the Beaver Dome was loud and rocking Monday night as Harper Creek played host to the Lakeview Spartans.  The Beavers came out fast, putting 11-points up on the scoreboard before the Spartans scored a single point.  While Harper Creek maintained a double-digit lead through most of the game, Lakeview managed to eat away at that lead and it was a pair of free throws from Donnie Ernsberger in regulation play that tied the score at 72 and sent the game into overtime.  The Beavers poured it on in O/T, out-scoring the Spartans 15-2 to pick up an 87-74 win.   James Cadena delivered 23-points and Khylen Watkins added 22-points for the Beavers. Donnie Ernsberger and Tyreace Frederick led the Spartans scoring with 23 and 21-points respectively. Harper Creek improves to 9-and-2 while Lakeview drops to .500 on the season at 6-and-6.

Earlier in the first match of the evening, Harper Creek’s girls’ varsity squad squeaked out a 44-42 nail-biter O/T win over the Spartans.
