Behnke, Faris Discuss Battle Creek Candidacy

Battle Creek city commissioner and former mayor Mark Behnke has served for several years on the commission and is among those candidates seeking another term. His name, among others, will appear on Tuesday's city ballot.

Behnke discussed what he perceived to be successes for the commission in the last year, as well as challenges he sees in 2016. He also discussed whether or not he aspires to be mayor again.

Candidate Kaytee Faris, a Battle Creek native, talked about her background and what motivated her to return to her hometown after college. She also discussed her qualifications as well as what she thinks is the number-one priority for the next commission.
