Brewery, Restaurant, Apartments And More To Fill Vacant Marshall Building
A new brewery and restaurant will be coming to downtown Marshall this spring.
Grand River Brewery was founded in the city of Jackson in 2013, and their second location is currently being installed into the Cronin Building at the corner of W. Michigan Ave. and S. Jefferson St. The Cronin Building is around 150-years-old, and over the decades has hosted a dry goods store, antique store, and other businesses, but it has been vacant for some time.
MLive reports that the Grand River Brewery is expected to feature a vast menu, mostly similar to their Jackson location, although it will not have a pizza oven; instead, there will be a wood-fired grill. As well, a portion of the beers, wines and spirits on offer will be made in house.
There are also plans to convert the upper floors of the structure into apartments and hotel suites; the apartment units would be starting at around $850 a month for single bedrooms.
The business is expected to open in March or April.
