Calhoun County Authorities Looking For Home Invasion Suspect

Authorities in the Albion area are trying to track down a suspect, in an attempted home invasion over the weekend.

Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies and Michigan State Police Troopers responded to the 24,000 block of J Drive South in Albion Township around 6:40pm Saturday, on reports of a home invasion.  At the scene, authorities found a female victim who says that she had arrived home, to find someone else inside her residence.  The suspect then allegedly assaulted her before fleeing.

The victim suffered minor injuries.

A K-9 unit was brought in to track the suspect, but nothing was turned up.  The suspect is described as a white male in his mid 20’s, standing around 6 foot 2 and skinny, with a light beard. He reportedly was wearing blue jeans, a black hoodie, a baseball cap, and a red-and-white bandana tied around his right knee.
