A 53-year-old Calhoun County man was arrested and charged on multiple counts for child sexually abusive activity.

An investigation conducted by the Michigan State Police (MSP) Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force has resulted in the arrest of a man from Springfield. Paul Larson, 53, was arrested and arraigned on Thursday, October 3, 2019.

The investigation stemmed from a found property complaint by Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office. The found property contained images of child sexually abusive material. Further investigation led to locating a residence in Calhoun where the suspect was living. An interview of the suspect was conducted and he confirmed to investigators that the items in question were indeed his property. An arrest warrant was issued for Larson and he subsequently turned himself in.

Larson has been charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity, two counts of using a computer to commit a crime and one count of possession of child sexually abusive material.
