Battle Creek Public Schools Superintendent Kim Carter is inviting the community to come and see the district improvements she says are now underway.

The district conducted a survey of several different stakeholders - including parents whose children attend BCPS, as well as those in-district families who have chosen to take their kids elsewhere. Carter says the district wants to help uncover perceptions and misconceptions about how their schools are viewed.

Carter says the survey uncovered misconceptions in the district, mostly centered around safety.

She invites the community and parents alike to visit the district and also participate in upcoming sessions in which she will visit with attendees and talk about the district. Click the player above to hear her elaborate.
