Coburn And LaMora Park Could Be Closed

At last night’s Battle Creek Public Schools Board of Education meeting, District Superintendent Dr. Linda Hicks presented a plan to close two elementary schools to save the district money.

The schools that were selected for closure were LaMora Park Elementary and Coburn Elementary.

The proposal was met with some criticism from parents in attendance.  No vote was held on the plan.  It will be up for consideration at next Monday’s meeting.
