Several streets in Battle Creek are going to be seeing crews working to fill cracks in the roadway, starting Tuesday, September 27.

In a release, the City of Battle Creek says that work was set to begin Monday, but the weather delayed the start. The city's contractor will fill cracks in the streets with cold liquid asphalt.

Roads will remain open, but intermittent delays should be expected between work hours of 6am to 2:30pm.  Citizens are also asked not to park their cars on streets being worked on.

The streets listed will be worked on in order.

LIST OF STREETS BEING WORKED ON:

  • Cedar Avenue – Morgan Avenue to Kellogg Street

  • Oakley Street – Bedford Road (M-37) to Geiger Street

  • North Wood Street – Parkway Drive to West Goodale Avenue

  • Oneita Street – Parkway Drive to West Goodale Avenue

  • West Manchester Street – North Kendall Street to North Washington Avenue

  • Champion Street – North Kendall Street to College Street

  • Fremont Street – Capital Avenue NE (M-66) to East Emmett Street

  • Piper Avenue – Sherman Road to Bryant Street

  • South Edison Street – East Emmett Street to the end

  • West Jameson Avenue – Raymond Road to the end

  • Huntington Boulevard – Abbington Circle to Stone Jug Road

It's not known when work will be completed.
