There has been a fair share of health concerns the past few weeks in Southwest Michigan with the PFAS in water in the Parchment, Battle Creek, and Portage area. People were prompted to flush their water pipes as the water system of Kalamazoo was connected to theirs in Parchment to provide clean water. Now it seems the other side of the state is facing a scare of their own.

This morning it was reported by Local 4 that there is an ammonia leak at an industrial building at John R Street and State Fair Avenue in Detroit, which prompted a hazmat situation. Since it is a hazmat situation, all of the roads nearby have been shutdown. No injuries or deaths have been reported as of now. The area itself is being contained so as of now, no evacuations have been issued for the area. Hopefully a quick solution to the leak is solved so the situation is resolved.
