Battle Creek Enquirer reporter Dillon Davis ended up polling the family around the Christmas dinner table in order to help figure out what the big news stories of the year are. He's not alone; we here at WBCK also sat around the conference table having the same conversation.

It's not necessarily a discussion about which stories to choose, but how one could possibly rank them.

The Kalamazoo shooting. The local bike crash. The election. Which one could possibly be number one?

Well, for the sake of arriving at a decision, both Davis and WBCK's Nico Berrios came up with their own respective lists.
