Discovery Channel Crew in Portage to Film Show about Theresa Lockhart Murder

The murder of Schoolcraft teacher Theresa Lockhart gripped the Portage community in the summer of 2017. She went missing in May and her body was discovered in October.

Her husband, Christopher, confessed to her murder before his took his own life.

Investigation Discovery was in the Portage area today (6/13/18) to film an episode of the series Hometown Homicide.

Specifically the episode will focus on search dogs from Indiana Search and Response who assisted in the case. The search was initially centered around the south Portage area near the state game refuge, where Lockhart's car was found abandoned. Only after Christopher's note did the search turn toward the rural Allegan area where her body was eventually discovered.
