A video described as "frightening" & "racist" that was posted on social media over the weekend has led to a Portage Central High School student getting suspended.

The student in question is described as a white male who is a junior at Portage Central. In the video the student in question uses a racial slur multiple times before he pulls a gun out of the waistband of his pants, points it to the camera and appears to pull the trigger.

In an interview with MLive, school spokesperson Michelle Karpinski said "A male student from Portage Central High School was not in school Monday, December 16, after school officials were notified of a racist video shared on Snapchat over the weekend." Karpinski went on to say that incident has been referred to the Portage Police Department.

At this time there is no word on how long the student in question has been suspended for or if he will face more serious consequences.

While we have seen the video in question, we can not share the video due to the student being a minor as well as the graphic language and disturbing behavior.
