Kellogg Community College has brought back one sport this fall that will be a welcome addition to the two other sports set to begin their fall schedules this weekend.

The baseball team, coming off a deep National run into June, will also take the field for a few contests for their fall schedule, welcoming the incoming freshman that will put on the Bruins unis.

The sport returning to the athletic department is Women's Soccer, a team that will feature 12 of the 15-player roster that are from our area with players from Lakeview, Harper Creek, Calhoun Christian, Marshall, Bellevue and Climax-Scotts. Kellogg used to have a Men's Soccer team that brought in a Michigan Community College Athletic Association title in 1999, but it has been almost a decade since soccer has taken place on a competitive level on campus. Eieri Jordan Salivia, who was hired as KCC's Physical Education Coordinator, will also be the head coach for the initial squad. All of the incoming freshman will be a part of a the inaugural season that begins August 24th, with their home opener on August 30th.
