A 68 year-old Galesburg man was killed in an industrial accident, early Wednesday morning.

The Battle Creek City Police responded to Fort Custer Industrial Park, 200 block of Buckner Rd. and found the man submerged in a drain located just outside of the business’s loading dock.

It appears that the man, who also owns the business, was working alone, overnight when he tried to clear out the drain that flooded.

The identity of the man has not been released and at this time detectives do not suspect foul-play. However, this incident remains under investigation by police detectives pending medical review.
