One of two state legislators forced out of the capital due to a sex scandal is not giving up.

Cindy Gamrat of Plainwell has filed to run for her former seat in the 80th District that represents a majority of Allegan County. Gamrat was expelled by the legislature on September 11th after a affair with fellow Republican representative Todd Courser became public. Courser would resign from his seat and has not determined if he will run in the special election for his seat.

Gamrat will be facing four other challengers in the Republican primary election on November 3rd.
