Local gas prices may dip below $2 in the coming weeks. This is according to Patrick DeHaan, who's head of petroleum analysis for Gasbuddy. He commented: "The nation's cheapest gas prices may soon fall back under $2 per gallon as oil prices have plummeted nearly $14. [It will] perhaps lead to a slowdown in oil demand at the same time as U.S. oil inventories have rebounded sharply. While there may be volatility and a return to higher prices should Trump make a deal to avoid tariffs on both the countries, it's going to be a big win at the gas pump with prices in most areas likely to fall notably."

As of today, Battle Creek & Kalamazoo's gas prices are down 24¢ from last week, 13.4¢ from last month, and an astounding 35¢ cheaper than last year at this time. Averaging at around $2.579 a gallon right now, you can get the up to date figures here. Let's keep our fingers crossed this happens around the 4th of July.
