Governor Rick Snyder says his thoughts go out to all of the people across the state affected by Monday’s severe weather.
Snyder says his administration will work closely with local governments and communities to ensure those affected by the storms have everything they need to recover.
The National Weather Service has now confirmed five tornadoes from the storms.
One of the twisters touched down east of Birch Run in Saginaw County and traveled to two miles south of Millington in Tuscola County. That EF-2 twister topped out at 115 miles-per-hour.  Meteorologists previously confirmed an EF1 tornado in the city of Portland in Ionia County.  Damage assessments are still being conducted and there were some injuries, but no fatalities have been reported.
