Heat Knocks out Power for a Few

A few Calhoun County residents in 95.3 WBCK's neighborhood were without power (and air conditioning) for a short time this afternoon on the hottest day of the year.

The mercury hit 91 degrees about 2:30pm when the power went out.  95.3 WBCK was able to stay on the air as a generator kicked on.   About 133 customers lost power in Calhoun County.  The small area around WBCK caused the Circle K Gas Station at Riverside and Columbia to lose power, but eh C-Store across the intersection was not affected.

Power at WBCK was restored after about an hour and  a half.
