Every year since 2003, the Climax-Scotts Panthers had a shot at making it to the Division 8 Regional Finals. They would get it again against their top rival in Southwest Michigan in the Mendon Hornets Friday night.

For the second straight season, the Panthers would be able to advance and end the Hornets season with a 28-14 victory at home. It keeps the second-ranked Panthers in contention for the state title at 11-0, and will travel to Ottawa Lake Whiteford to take on the Bobcats next week in the Regional Final for the second straight season.

The Mendon Hornets end their season at 8-3.

Climax-Scotts senior running back Adam Schantz scored all four touchdowns on the night, rushing for 154 yards. Noah Eshuis ran for another 144 on the ground in the victory.
