A homeless encampment near an interstate interchange in Battle Creek has been disbanded following plans to evict people living at the site.  Area residents helped those living at the camp in tents find housing in the city. On Thursday, the last five people from the camp moved into a two-bedroom, partially furnished home. Police had served an eviction notice to the group members earlier this month that gave them until Dec. 14 to leave the camp on Michigan Department of Transportation land east of M-66. The planned eviction later was delayed.   MDOT had said it requested an eviction notice because of safety issues.
