How much more are you going to take sitting down?

It is time for all of us to do something to help turn this slide into the dust pan of history around.

Now The Washington Post is reporting that an 8th grader in Gresham Oregon is suspended for wearing a patriotic shirt that happens to show a gun. A gun stuck upside down in the dirt with the soldier’s helmet on top of the butt of the gun and his boots on the ground in front of his gun.  This is what our soldiers’ do to honor their fallen comrades.

Is this taking political correctness a bit too far?

The boys’ brother served in Iraq and he remembers the day he came home and how proud he was of his brother.

He wanted to demonstrate his patriotism by wearing a T-shirt to school that bore the words “Standing for those who stood for us”.

The school administrators gave him an ultimatum to either take off the shirt or be suspended, he would not take the T-shirt off so they called his father and asked him to pick up his son from school.

The father was quoted in the article saying “Yeah, I’m proud of him, I would’ve done the same thing.”

The schools’ dress code bars students from wearing any clothes promoting alcohol, drugs, tobacco or violence.

Does a rifle stuck upside down in the ground promote “violence” to you?

When are we going to stop this political correctness run amok?

American soldiers’ died defending freedom, freedom these PC people enjoy today, or at least for the time being.

Please stand with me against the people who attack our customs and traditions.

Let’s discuss this today on my show, The Live with Renk show, which airs Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to noon, to let me know your thoughts at (269) 441-9595.
