House Explosion Still Under Investigation

Officials this week will try to determine what caused a home in Battle Creek to explode.The Battle Creek Fire Department responded to the scene Saturday on Lamora at around 6:30 p.m.

Battalion Chief Martin Erskine says the force of the explosion blew debris against other homes on each side but no one was injured.

The single story home was unoccupied at the time of the explosion and fire.  None of the first responders were hurt.
