Battle Creek Central waited an extra night to return to the floor to host the Benton Harbor Tigers in Southwest Michigan Athletic Association action.

No matter what night the game was going to be played, the visiting Tigers came prepared to play as they handed the Bearcats a 66-49 loss on their floor Wednesday night. The win is the seventh straight for Benton Harbor, following their season-opening loss to Portage Central.

The Bearcats were only down by two points with 2:30 left in the first half, but the Tigers would go on an 8-0 run to end it the half, with Central trailing 32-22. The Tigers would not relinquish the lead after.

Junior guard Demetrius Craig would lead the Bearcats (4-5) in the loss with 14 points. Julieon Cooper added 11 points while Juan Warren put in 10 to go with six offensive boards.

Curtis Dawson scored a game-high 16 points for the Tigers (7-1), part of four players in double figures.
