HS Football – Comeback Falls Short for St. Philip Homecoming
There are several things that have become a tradition on "Homecoming Afternoon" for the St. Philip Fighting Tigers.
In recent years, it has been the parade featuring the band (20 members this year), the homecoming court and law enforcement, to make the travel from St. Philip Catholic High School over to C.W. Post Field. Also becoming the norm has been great weather in early October and fantastic football from the Fighting Tigers.
This year's foe was the tough and talented Camden-Frontier Redskins, who have beaten the Tigers each year since they made their way into 8-Man football.
Anything can happen on Homecoming and it always seems to happen on the Saturday afternoon contest for St. Philip.
