HS Football – Harper Creek Falls in Extra Period (VIDEO)

Pride was at stake between two Interstate 8 teams that have been playoff regulars within the last five years.

That pride was up for grabs between the Harper Creek Beavers and the Coldwater Cardinals, two teams both sitting at 2-5 on the season, tied with Hastings for fifth place in the I-8, and looking for at least a share of fifth place at the end of the conference schedule.

This old rivalry of Twin Valley schools did not disappoint in our High School Football Game of the Night. For the second time this season, we needed overtime to decide the winner.

As we head into the final week, only one area team has clinched a postseason bid and five others need Week 9 wins to advance. All three area 8-Man squads are well within the top playoff point-getters to see an extra week following their regular season finales.
