The Michigan High School Athletic Association's Football playoffs continue this week all across the state. For the Battle Creek area, the six teams that remained after Week 1 has been cut in half.

With the three teams remaining, some history was made along the line. The win for the Lakeview Spartans was their first postseason win since 2014. It was also the last time they hosted a postseason game in football. They get another home contest this week with Livonia Churchill.

The Marshall Redhawks picked up their first postseason win since 2009, the same year they won their second State championship on the gridiron. They head west this week for a match-up with Wolverine Conference runner-up Paw Paw.

Finally for Climax-Scotts, their win was their first in 8-Man postseason play within their 17th straight appearance in the playoffs. The Panthers welcome last season's runner up in 8-Man Division 2 - the Onekama Portagers.

Here's this week schedule with game times and potential opponents. Our Game of the Night is a Saturday afternoon contest at Lakeview with the Spartans hosting Livonia Churchill. Discussions for a second game are still in the works.
