HS Football Recap – Spartans Stave Off Bearcats Strong 2nd Half

In most rivalries, you can throw out the records before the contests begin. When an undefeated record is still up for grabs, one record still matters.

That was the case for the Lakeview Spartans, as they looked for their first 3-0 start since the 2016 season. In order to do it, they needed to top their crosstown rivals in the Battle Creek Central Bearcats in their Southwest Michigan Athletic Conference division opener in the East.
