
Michigan Residents Beware Of New COVID Variant & Symptoms
The beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic seems like it happened ages ago, but it was really only just a short 5 and half years ago. In November of 2019 the virus ravaged the world and by March of the next year we were all in lockdown. This was one of those moments where everyone remembers exactly where they were when the United States was placed on lockdown and social distancing was put in order.

We have been battling COVID-19 and its variants since then and will be fighting them forever as the virus continues to mutate. There is now another variant that is spiking in the United States and causing 37% of the new cases in the country. Today says
Nimbus was first detected in the U.S. in late March through airport screening programs for international travelers. Since then, the fast-spreading variant has been detected in more than a dozen U.S. states, and cases are expected to keep rising.
Are You Aware Of The New Covid Variant Symptoms In Michigan?
The new Nimbus variant which is also called NB.1.8.1, is known to have different symptoms than the others that are causing pain and discomfort to those who are diagnosed with it. A lot of the common COVID symptoms may still arise such as shortness of breath, coughing, loss of smell, etc. but there are also new symptoms that have arose.

The Mirror reported the following symptoms as key indicators of the Nimbus Variant:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Heartburn
- Bloating
- Constipation
- Stomach pain
As of right now, there haven't been any cases of the Nimbus variant reported in Michigan, but this could change at any moment. The Hill lists the following states as the only ones to have reported Nimbus cases:
California, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Arizona, Illinois, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and Washington.
