One thing I have learned while spending a large portion of my very short life here in Michigan is that there is an abundance of things to do whether they involve sports, food, drinks, nature, and a plethora of other interests. Realistically, you could live in Michigan for your entire life and have trouble checking everything off your "Michigan bucket list".

Although there are tons of things to do within the borders of the Mitten state, getting outside of our homes and what is comfortable brings unforgettable memories to our lives. Some of my favorite memories are piling into a vehicle or two with family and friends and leaving the town/state to do something.

Recently, it has been harder for parents to treat their children to these trips outside of their homes due to the economy being in recovery from the pandemic and many people getting their finances back in order as well. This new attraction is close enough for Michigan parents that they can provide an out of state experience without breaking the bank.

At the end of October, Slick City Action Park opened a location in North Aurora, Illinois as the world's first indoor slide park is coming to the Midwest. This is the first attraction of its kind in Illinois and is described and marketed as a waterless slide park. The indoor play park features a number of different "giant, dry slides" with various heights and speeds, a sport air court, and an area for younger children, an arcade, a zipline and more.

Slick City Action Park aim to open over 500 locations throughout America as they already have locations in Colorado, Texas, and Arizona alongside the new Illinois location. Tickets start as low as $13.99 and get as high as $30.99, so if you ask me, that's very affordable as well.

You're just as interested as I am, aren't you? If so, you can get any other relevant information on the Slick City Action Park website.
