
Thousands Of Peloton Bikes Recalled In Michigan For Seat Issues

Everyone chooses to partake in different activities to remain active and for some, at home workouts are what works best for their schedule.

Many people have brought several different types of workout equipment among the most popular are treadmills and stationary bikes. Many people choose to focus on cardio as one of their main workouts and stationary bikes have made that easier to achieve. Peloton has become one of the premier stationary bike providers in the world, but they have found themselves on the wrong side of the headlines.
There are thousands of people and hundreds of gyms in Michigan that use Peloton stationary bikes as cardio options. For the most part, they are popular for their interactive abilities and motivational modes which help individuals stay focused while working out. Now, they have announced a recall for thousands of their bikes due to a safety issue.

Peloton is recalling 833,000 of its Original Series Bike+ exercise bikes because the seat posts can break, potentially causing riders to fall off, the Consumer Product Safety Commission warned on Thursday. The maker of internet-enabled fitness equipment has received three reports of the seat posts detaching from the bikes during use and two reports of riders suffering injuries, according to a recall notice.

Anyone who has this Peloton stationary bike model should stop using the bike immediately and Peloton will issue a free seat post that is can be self-installed. The recalled bikes have a PL02 model number and serial numbers that begin with T.
