Michigan Has A New Fine Dining Experience You HAVE To Partake IN

New businesses coming to the Kalamazoo area are always a good thing as this community has shown since the pandemic arrived that supporting local businesses is more important now than ever before.

It’s always good to celebrate when a business comes to town which is exciting to hear about something a little bit different coming to Southwest Michigan. I’m not usually one to go for fine dining, but this new restaurant that just opened up in Portage, Alibi Breakfast Lunch Dinner and Bar, has a very extensive menu featuring some upscale entrées that you won’t find very many places in the area, southwest Michigan recently posted on their Facebook page:

Last week, the Southwest Michigan First Chamber was thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of Alabi, a fine-dining restaurant in Portage! Known for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and upscale entrees including wagyu steak and lobster carbonara, Alabi is your choice for any occasion, any time of day. They are open from 7 a.m. to midnight Tuesdays through Saturdays and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as an extensive selection of wine.

What's On The Menu At Alibi In Portage?

The restaurant has a full bar and even features drink specials throughout the week, but they feature Detroit city bourbon old-fashioned, as well as beer and wine. The menu for the Grand Opening featured everything for their breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar menu, including chicken and waffles, breakfast tacos, seared scallops and pork belly, French toast, lamb lollipops, a miso salmon bowl, and grilled halibut. So there’s clearly a massive array of options, even including simple things such as a Wagyu cheeseburger with tater tots.
