Michigan Border Protection Officer Accused of Having 4,000 Images of Child Pornography

An entire community is in shock after reports have surfaced that a border protection officer has been charged with allegedly having thousands of images of child pornography.

The officer, who is a 57-year-old from Center Line, Michigan, Scott Rocky, has been taken into custody after the FBI raided his home last week and apparently took possession of the images.

Now, Rocky has not only been put on leave without pay, but is being accused of possessing inappropriate images of children between the ages of 4 and 10. FOX 17 reporters reached out to Customs and Border Protection and were given the following statement.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer, Scott Rocky was arrested on charges of activities relating to materials involving the sexual exploitation of minors (18 USC §2252), Thursday, as a result of an investigation by the FBI in coordination with CBP's Office of Professional Responsibility. CBP will cooperate fully with all criminal or administrative investigations of alleged misconduct by any of our personnel, whether it occurs on or off duty.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened, and it won’t be the last time. But people who knew Scott Rocky, or thought they knew him, commented on their disbelief about this whole incident, like one of his neighbors John Kanan:

I thought he was my friend, and that is so disgusting what he did. It was really a shock to see that there was FBI across the street from our house

Anyone with possession of child pornography under the age of 12 can face up to 20 years in prison, according to The Church Law Firm.
