One of the biggest headlines coming out of the country is no doubt the wildfires that are currently spreading throughout Los Angeles County.

This rapidly spreading event of fires that started on January 7 has destroyed so many homes and areas throughout Southern California, which has led thousands of people to leave behind all of their precious memories, only to be destroyed.

Because of the fires, more than 80,000 people have had to run for safety, including many celebrities who have shared their feelings and thoughts during this impossible time.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a celebrity or a common person, watching your home, filled with all of your personal possessions going up in flames has got to be devastating, no matter who you are.
Celebrities like Ricki Lake, Cary Elwes, Mario Lopez, and Paris Hilton all shared emotional social media posts showing the devastating effects of the wildfires. One Michigan native who is a celebrity also has lost everything in the fire.

Duff Goldman, a television chef on the Food Network with shows like Ace of Cakes, Worst Bakers in America, Guy's Grocery Games, and Donut Showdown is a native of Detroit, Michigan, and lived there until he was about 10 years old. He recently shared an Instagram post showing that he too has been impacted by the wildfires, but says the family is safe.

These fires seem to be causing "biblical" damage as Cary Elwes put it, and the fires have spread to the Hollywood Hills.

Jim O'Leary's mom and cow were a part of the legend of the Great Chicago Fire. His mansion still stands in Chicago.
