DETROIT - You know when you're a kid, building stuff with legos, and you come up with the COOLEST vehicle you've ever made. You have to name it, right? It always ends up being the "Super Mega Lion Thunderbolt Tyrannosaurus Ranger," or something ridiculous like that, right?

Well, I guess they've got children naming vehicles at Ford now, because I just saw the dumbest (yet also, coolest) vehicle in their arsenal in a TMZ appearance, and I have some concerns.

We know Ford has the Raptor. It's a specialized tag for their pickups and SUVs started in 2010. It was a little silly, but kind fitting, given the squatty, wide look that the Raptor package puts on most of the pickups and trucks it's applied to.

Also, it was just one word... "Raptor."

Well, we should have guessed that with the new Ford Bronco out, it could be applied to it as well, so there's now a Ford Bronco Raptor in existence. So, we're approaching the realm of silly here, but still just two names involved. We're OK.

BUT NO! There's still yet ANOTHER version of the vehicle that takes it into ridiculous mode.

Introducing the $70,000 Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor... as driven by Adam Levine!?!?!?

Of ALL the people Ford could have sold the first Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor to... they chose Adam Levine as the face of it? Ugh.

Here's the thing, though... Adam Levine actually is a car nut. He has a garage full of MILLIONS of dollars worth of high performance super cars, and trucks. So, to sell the first one to a guy like him actually makes sense. An when you look at the specs of the Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor... it's actually pretty amazing.

It's a 500-horsepower Bronco with the Raptor package built in. This is also a collaboration with Hennessey Performance, a Texas-based hypercar manufacturer, who specializes in high performance vehicles. They added in their own enhanced 4x4 system, and custom wheels.

So yeah, this is an amazing feat of engineering. But the name... Ford Bronco Hennessey VelociRaptor... surely someone saw that on paper and said... ya now... this is a little too far.

So what would you do in this scenario? How can you make the name less ridiculous?

Maybe the Ford Bronco-VRH? Well, in today's society of capitalism, that won't fly, since you have to brand and package everything with the full product name. So... I guess, if we continue to get these collaborations, we'll continue to get stupid car names.
