Bikers will be riding out to Augusta this Saturday for an annual bike ride that has welcomed thousands of people in the area every year with the goal of raising money to benefit the W. Michigan Cancer Center patient.

The event is called Hawgs For A Cause and this year they return with their annual Cancer Center ride with the goal of raising even more money than they made last year. 2022 was the first ride since the pandemic began. However, they were still able to raise over $33,000 for cancer patients here in West Michigan.

When Is The Event

The event will be held and kicked off at the VFW hall in Augusta. You will be able to sign up to ride from 10 AM till noon on Saturday before it heads out. Tickets are $30 a person and include the ride with a poker run entry, a meal, a door prize ticket, and the first 250 entries receive T-shirts commemorating the event.

Biscuits and gravy will be served from 8 AM till 11 AM before the ride heads out while making stops at the Delton, VFW Horn Creek pub, wild Mikes before returning to the Augusta VFW at 4 o’clock. The organizer Terry, who has been a part of this ride for years explains just how important it is that everyone gets involved, saying:

It kinda seems like if you run into a person that's not affected by cancer in some form, it's pretty rare. If you show up to support you'll most likely be helping someone you know, so every penny helps.
