Wood TV recently reported that Kalamazoo‘s new city budget was met with a unanimous vote and approved by the city commission on Monday, December 30, 2024.
The city’s budget is put in place every year to make way for various reasons, whether it’s for beautifying the neighborhood, helping with infrastructure, supporting public safety, or in situations like we faced this year, where we had to traverse expensive construction throughout the city to improve the roads and water systems.

This is all leading up to what the city is calling “Imagine Kalamazoo 2025 “in which the $388 million is being allocated to see-through.
The budget guide on the city of Kalamazoo‘s website goes through every single step of the budget program and not only describes Where the funds will be allocated but just exactly how much of the total price tag will be allocated to each service they are looking to boost this year.
