Kalamazoo Pizza Joint Could Implement Controversial Soda Fountain Rule Soon
Restaurants are doing all they can to save money, and conserve their product. Some have even gone so far, now, as to limit the amount of pop you can get from the soda fountains at their restaurants.
A Viral TikTok is going around showing how this new technology works at some restaurants, and now, it seems, a pizza joint in Kalamazoo may be the next to adopt this method of control for your flow of pop.

Blaze Pizza has introduced a major change to its self-service soda machines, and its sole location in Kalamazoo will likely introduce it soon.
A viral TikTok shows of a customer being forced to scan a barcode on a cup before filling their cup, and they only have 18 seconds to do so. If you don't scan your barcode, however, nothing will come out of the fountain.

The viral video from @phatprincessa has racked up more than 150,000 views, as well as comments from people showing their hate toward the system.
"These are going to be everywhere now," said one commenter.
Many restaurants have begun implementing similar setups, or have been slowly getting rid of the self-service soda fountains altogether. McDonald's plans on completely eliminating self-service fountains by 2032 in all of its stores.
Now the location of the Blaze Pizza in the video isn't specifically given, and it's unclear how many of the chain's 340 locations across the country have actually implemented the "soda governor" on their machines.
But don't be surprised if, in your next visit to Blaze Pizza in Kalamazoo, you only have a short time to fill your glass.
