It’s Official: Michigan Residents Are Addicted To Their Phones
It's clear that we live in the digital world and with that comes this subconscious notion that we always have to be made available for anyone at any time, and it's leading to a strong mental addiction to our phones.
It turns out that Michigan in general is developing a SERIOUS addiction, as a recent survey shows, Michiganders are picking up their phones way too much. I can confirm this, as I was recently called out for how many times I busted out my phone. Staying connected to the tiny screen is a serious issue, as they point out:

Hosting Advice, a resource for web hosting info, uncovered this and more by using screen time data from 3,126 survey respondents to find how much of the day Americans spend on their phones. A new study surveyed over 3K Americans, asking them to report their daily screen time over the course of the week.
The website pointed out just how bad we have it here in Michigan, showing that regardless of the day we use our phone the most, on average, we have a serious daily problem:
- The average person in Michigan spends about 6 h 39 m on their phones each day.
- They pick up their phone about 113.6 times per day.
- The day they most use their phone is Friday.
- The app with the most screen time in Michigan? TikTok.
