These Are The Best Michigan Snow Plow Names For 2024/2025 Winter

The unsung heroes of winter are those who wake up during all hours of the day to provide snow plow services across Michigan when we get hit with a big winter storm. It’s hard to imagine being a snow, plow driver and having to work double time when Michigan gets rocked with one of their infamous out of nowhere snow storms.

A lot of snowplow workers actually look forward to these events so that they can get some work under their belt. And while they do an amazing job, they also like to have a little fun while they are at it.

Snowplow names have been something that I’ve been going on for a long time, each driver will give their salt truck, or snowplow a name, which can be seen in active service when you go to MDOT’s live traffic map.

The map allows you to see how fast or slow a particular stretch of highway or road is, any accidents that may have occurred in the area, and the maintenance vehicles that are currently on the road and dispatched for various reasons.

But even going to their website they’ve offered a complete list of all of the snowplow names throughout the entire state. But here in Southwest Michigan, they’ve got a personality of their own, and so we wanted to point out some of the coolest, most creative, and all-around fun names for our snowplow drivers.
