With Christmas almost a week away, we may be in line for a white Christmas, but we will have to wait and see later in the week how the weather is forecasting for Christmas Day.

But as far as a week beforehand going into Friday, Southwest Michigan could see significant snowfall, which would be enough to make it a white Christmas if it can just hold on.

Recently, a weather tracker channel on Facebook called Wicked Weather, is showing that Southwest Michigan could get between one and 4 inches of snow between Wednesday and Friday, as they showed a map detailing the weather that could be on its way:
Here is our weather forecast over the next couple of days. We are monitoring an area between I94 and I96 for the potential of added accumulations. I94, US131, I69, and I96 could all experience traffic delays.
Here's what they suggest for this particular storm
Leave early, take your time, and if roads deteriorate please let us know as we will be monitoring this system throughout the week. We are also monitoring the potential for a clipper system to come through this weekend and drop a little more snow onto the area.
This would be the third significant snow storm southwest Michigan has seen so far in the 2024-2025 winter season, so being prepared for it will help you navigate your travel to work or home for the holiday season.
WWMT is currently tracking the storm hitting Southwest Michigan today with about an inch accumulation, then up to three inches by Friday morning.
