Kalamazoo Train Derailment Causing Traffic Issues

A 15 car train derailment has snarled traffic in Downtown Kalamazoo this morning.

Update 9:20am: Michigan Avenue (M-43 eastbound) is set to re-open while Kalamazoo Avenue (M-43 westbound) is expected to remain closed much of the day.

Everyone please search for alternative routes this morning we have a train derailment at Porter and Willard Ave., Michigan Avenue and Kalamazoo Ave are both blocked due to the development. Avoid the area.
