Kellogg Community College Chooses Carla Reynolds As New Trustee
The Board of Trustees for Kellogg Community College now has a new member.
KCC began to search for a new member early this month, after Trustee Reba Harrington passed away at the age of 65. She had served on the board since 2007. 25 people applied to fill out the remainder of Harrington’s term, which ends on December 31, 2020, and after a committee reviewed the applicants and narrowed the list down to five, the Trustees held a vote Tuesday and selected Carla Reynolds.
Carla Reynolds already serves as a Calhoun County Commissioner for District 2, and owns an Allstate Insurance Agency in Battle Creek; she also has a history of service in the community with organizations like the Battle Creek Community Foundation, the United Way, and Mt. Zion AME Church.
KCC Board Chairman Steve Claywell says that they picked Reynolds because “she possessed a lot of the specific qualifications that we are looking for in a board member”.
