After a previous bond request to fund the construction of new school buildings in the Lakeview School District failed, the district will try again on May 3 with a new request which would fund building upgrades.

Lakeview Superintendent Dave Peterson tells WBCK it is critical that voters get on board and help them support urgently needed upgrades to aging buildings. Peterson even says the heating systems in their buildings are so old and inefficient, he estimates their heating costs are at least $100,000 more than what they could be with new systems.
