The Kellogg Community College Board of Trustees will receive an update on the search for their new president during their regular meeting on Wednesday.

A representative from the executive search firm, The Pauly Group, will be on hand for the meeting to provide details on the search and the next steps before interviews begin. The firm stated that 54 applications were received.

A screening committee comprised of trustees, community members and personnel from KCC have reviewed the applications and are preparing for recommendations for finalists. The Board will then narrow down the finalists that they would like to interview, with an announcement coming at a later date. The schedule to hire a new president is set for November, in advance of current president Mark O’Connell’s retirement at the end of 2019. His announcement came in May.

The regularly scheduled meeting is set for Wednesday, October 16th, beginning at 6:30pm at Kellogg Community College's main campus at 450 North Avenue in Battle Creek.
